You only need the full 50 g of the caterpillar’s body color and less of the other colors. I used four colors of fine cotton yarn and 1 ball of 50 g per color + some leftover color to embroider the face. Intermediate: basic knowledge of different crochet stitches is required. For older children, I leave those out and let it be like a doll that they can dress and undress. If you intend to make this toy for a baby, you can easily add a rattle bead and some crinkle material. The rings that make up the body of the caterpillar can rotate for extra fun. You can also use it to explain how a hungry caterpillar transforms into a beautiful butterfly!
